Texas Hill Country Day-of Coordination: Frequently Asked Questions
What does a day-of wedding coordinator actually do?
A day-of coordinator executes your timeline, directs vendors, manages setup, coordinates the ceremony and reception flow, and handles every issue that arises — so you never have to. Your job on your wedding day is to get married. Ours is to make sure everything you've planned actually happens the way you envisioned it.
How is day-of coordination different from full wedding planning?
Full wedding planning involves choosing vendors, managing your budget, and guiding decisions from the beginning. Day-of coordination picks up once your planning is largely complete — Wendi steps in to organise everything, build a detailed timeline, confirm all vendors, and manage the day itself. Ideal for couples who enjoy the planning process but want an expert to execute it.
How far in advance should we book for a Texas Hill Country wedding?
For peak season — October and April Saturdays in particular — book 10–12 months out. For other dates, 6–8 months is typically sufficient. Once your venue is confirmed, coordination is the natural next step. See our most popular Texas Hill Country wedding dates to understand booking pressure for your date.
Does Weddings by Wendi coordinate weddings throughout the Hill Country?
Yes. Wendi serves couples throughout the Texas Hill Country and Central Texas — including Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Fredericksburg, Canyon Lake, Driftwood, Johnson City, Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels, and the Dallas/Fort Worth area. See our destination pages above for area-specific guidance.
Is ceremony rehearsal coordination included?
Yes — rehearsal coordination is part of the day-of package. Wendi works with your officiant, wedding party, and family to walk through ceremony order, positioning, and timing so everyone feels confident going into the wedding day.
Do you work with elopements and micro-weddings?
Absolutely. Some of the most meaningful weddings we coordinate are intimate ceremonies — small guest lists, private Hill Country settings, and celebrations that prioritise presence over production. Day-of coordination is just as valuable for an elopement of ten as it is for a wedding of 150.
Can we add photography to our day-of coordination?
Yes — photography is available as an add-on. Having your coordinator and photographer under one brand means a more cohesive day, better communication, and one less vendor to manage. Mention it when you enquire and we'll confirm photography availability for your date.
What do we need to get a Texas marriage license?
Both applicants must appear together at any Texas county clerk's office with valid ID. There is a 72-hour waiting period after the license is issued, and the license is valid for 90 days. Apply 3–4 weeks before your wedding. See our Texas marriage license guide for county-by-county details.
